EEEEEEK!
Exciting stuff!
I've been pondering about the idea of ordering one of these beauty boxes for a while now, I just couldn't decide which one! There's so many out there, and trying to choose which one sent my brain into a giant fuzzball. So when I saw that there was this brand new box coming out, I thought it was the perfect opportunity!

May 2016: Little Known Box Review
(The cheaters version...)
So the lovely Hannah (If you are about to start a Bullet Journal, you HAVE to check out her post, the main inspiration for mine...) nominated me last week for this challenge , but to be honest it all got a bit lost in Eurovision, editing my Walk the Wight vlog and falling asleep at every opportunity ha.
So here we are, a week later, and I'm finally getting around to it!
Now Hannah did hers a little bit differently, and I think I'll do mine the same as her as well. Your supposed to take 7 pictures of nature every day for a week, and upload them. However, this week I have really not done much except for work, there's only so many pictures of the sea I can use and als Hannah nominated me saying she wanted to see some of my adventures! So I'm going to use a couple of pictures from the same place from throughout the last few years.
I am also going to try not to use pictures of places I've spoken about before, I have enough posts about Lapland and Greece, so I'm going to try and use pictures from other places I've been!
LETS GO

7 Day Photography Challenge
Everybody is scared of something. Scared of heights. Scared of fire. Scared of clowns. There isn’t a soul alive that isn’t scared of anything - and if they say they aren’t… they’re lying.
I’m scared of a lot of things, fire, electricity, wasps, thunderstorms… but there’s one thing that trumps all of those… mice/rats.
I recently wrote a post about the stigma with anxiety as well as talking about it on lovely Hannah’s blog, and it was just before this that I took the step to speak to someone about the effect it has on me, and how I can start working towards beating it. I had my CBT session and this is where the truth was uncovered, I was suffering from a phobia.
Living with a Phobia
Hehehe, being all sneaky and like 007 spilling my top secrets on how I keep my skin looking like a 22 year olds... Oh wait.
I kid, I kid.
FarFetch asked me to share my skincare secrets so I thought it would be interesting for me to share with all you lovely guys and gals about how I look after my skin... my Mum always says 'look after your skin, you only get one lot'

Sssssshhhh.... Skin Secrets
Wow, is it me, or has it got a bit chilly over here? Maybe it’s because we’re in LAPLAND.
(although, to be fair, it's always cold in England. Shut up Mel? OK)

Aye, that’s right, it’s that time that I’m talking about what it’s really like to be a holiday rep. And this time I’m talking about my favourite season, my time in the beautiful, magical, Lapland.
It’s a bit more difficult for me to talk about my time there, as every day truly was different, we had some 3 day durations, some 4 and some 5. I’m going to focus on the three day durations here, as they included everything that the 4 & 5 did, just squashed-er.

Here we go.
As I said in my May Goals post, I wanted this month to finally be the month I wrote my post about University experience. To be quite honest, I’ve really been putting it off, because it’s kind of different to the sort of positive stuff I would like to write. BUT I read the lovely Erins post and it persuaded me to just go for it, so here we are.
I couldn’t really think of how to phrase and write this in order to break it up, so I thought I would do it in like a Pros and Cons list.
We’ll see how it goes as always.
Let's Chat: University Pros and Cons
People always seem to think it's so incredible and weird that I live on an Island.
I remember my first Uni interview and I said where I came from, a fellow interviewee said:
'you got on a boat by yourself? a boat? by yourself?'
Urgh, yes. I was more impressed that I got a train round London by myself to be honest.
I live on the Isle of Wight (no it's not the Isle of Man). I have done since birth (excluding Uni ofc). It's where I will always call home.
So I thought that writing a post about some of my favourite things about living on the Isle of Wight would be a great way to break out of my Blogging Slump.

It's not all glitz and glamour ya know!
In fact, no, it's not glitz and glamour at all.
So to sort out this common misconception I thought I'd do a couple of posts about my life as a holiday rep, both in Corfu and Lapland, both work days and fun days. They've both been so different so I couldn't combine them into one post, so today it is CORFU AND WORKING.

AYE
Another exciting post!
(why does that sound so sarcastic, this genuinely is exciting... for me anyway!)
Again, we all know I love an challenge, so when my Dad suggested he would buy me a chance to climb over the O2 for my birthday/Christmas/who knows, I jumped at the chance!
For those not in London/living under a rock, the O2 is this great building, which kind of looks like a big tent but has huge gigs, events and places to eat inside. Here's a picture of it from kind of above, looks kind of unsafe to stand on top of, eh?

REVIEW: Up at the O2
"When a man tires of London, he tires of life"
Samuel Johnson
This quote has always intrigued me. As someone who has a very on-off relationship with London, I thought it would be interesting to write about it, even for me to be honest.
Growing up, going to London was always such an exciting adventure, getting the boat, the train and then spending a day whizzing round the sights. I was always terrified of the Tube, but when I used it everyday for the Olympics I got used to it.
London and Me
I am always up for a challenge. I love it. I’m so stubborn that I would never let myself give up on a challenge unless absolutely necessary.
So I sign up for things before I have a chance to really think about it, and then next thing you know I’ve done it!
What I wanted to talk about today isn’t a new challenge, as I've done it abut six times before, but it's one that I really try to do every year as it means a lot to me.
I Would Walk 500 Miles
Pinch, punch, first of the... OH. WAIT. I'm a bit late.
(also a poet but what can ya do?)
Following on from last weeks April Goals post, I'm happy to say that for the majority I did keep up with my goals, YAY.
Although unfortunately I haven't planned any new adventure, the big hole in my bank account is keeping me grounded for the moment.
So I thought it'd be a great idea to keep this up monthly, to see where I was at in the future, and where I'm heading.
LETS GO! (ESKIMO!)

Goals for May 2016
Mel (adj)
A twenty four year old Island girl, stumbling through life in London. Can often be found clutching a big bag of salted popcorn, trying to learn something new or dreaming about napping.Mel (noun)
To pull a Mel is to do something so spectacularly hilarious that it would make a brilliant movie not disimilar to Bridget Jones.
